Salvation Army at Veteran's Day services at the Indiana War Memorial.

As America sent troops into the Middle East in response to the September 11, 2001 attacks, The Salvation Army in Indiana began Operation Compassion.  This very special program is dedicated to serving our military men and women overseas by sending them care packages.  Since 2002, the volunteers of Operation Compassion have shipped over 85,000 Care Packages to the brave men and women protecting our Nation.

The Operation Compassion program is made possible by donors and volunteers giving of their resources and time to honor those who defend our country.  As you celebrate this Independence Day, and remember those who put themselves in harm’s way, you too may feel the call to support our troops.  To find out more, visit SAOpCom.org.  If you would like to get involved contact Delana Bradbury at 317-224-1012.

Have a happy and blessed 4th of July!
