Indianapolis – The Salvation Army’s Emergency Disaster Services have gone into action in response to last night’s storms. Overnight, a Salvation Army Canteen was on location at the site of a 3 house fire. One of the houses had been struck by lightning and burned to the ground. The flames then spread to the neighboring houses. The Salvation Army provided food and beverages to emergency responders as they battled the fire.
This morning, EDS teams will assess the damaged areas of the cities Northeast side to determine what assistance is needed. Look for more updates on The Salvation Army’s response later today.
