Indianapolis- Just one week after tornados displaced residents on Indy’s east side, torrential rainfall brought unprecedented flooding to the surrounding counties. Some residents in Johnson, Morgan, and Shelby counties were forced to flee their homes and seek shelter.

The Salvation Army currently has a shelter set-up for those who have been displaced in Shelby County. The shelter is located at The Salvation Army’s Shelbyville Corps, 136 E. Washington St., Shelbyville, IN 46176. Those needing help can contact the shelter at (317) 398-7421.

In Morgan County, a Salvation Army Canteen has been requested to provide meals and hydration to victims and emergency responders. Tomorrow, Salvation Army Canteens will be out in Johnson County as well as other affected areas to serve both victims and emergency responders.

You can help flood victims by making a monetary donation to The Salvation Army’s relief efforts.
