More than just a cookout, The Red Kettle Cookout with its army of supporters, was a huge success today. An exciting selection of vendors shared their food, talents, services and sponsorships in summer-like temps as part of a week-long celebration for National Salvation Army Week.

Held at University Park on Meridian St., the annual spring event offered participants more than just a meal, but also a chance to see what each city corps and various programs provide to Indy residents. Party Time Rental made it possible to have some exciting activities/games this year. Joining a repeat appearance by our Red Kettle Bounce House was an additional Olympics Deluxe Bounce House,  dunk tank, prize wheel, cotton candy & sno cones, and several other carnival-style games.

All proceeds from the Red Kettle Cookout will support The Salvation Army’s programs and services. Therefore, we are especially grateful for all who participated and showed their support by purchasing lunch and/or making a donation with a Bite Back Box or to a red kettle. Over 100 homeless people were given free lunches as part of our outreach to the community, made possible by your generous donations!

A special thank you goes out to all of our vendors, sponsors and supporters – including All-American Picnic Co., Judge’s BBQ, Yats, West Coast Tacos, Band Wagon and many more. We can’t wait to see you all back again next year for an even bigger turnout of Red Kettle Cookout!
