With distribution day is right around the corner, “Coats for Kids” got a boost today thanks to the generosity of donors and Burlington Coat Factory in Castleton.

More than $9,600 was donated to the “Coats for Kids” program for the purchase of new coats this year which is more than double last year’s amount.  Staff from The Salvation Army, WTHR, and Tuchman Cleaners used the money to shop for new coats at Burlington Coat Factory.  Burlington also gave us a great discount, helping that money go farther.  By the end of the trip, more than 400 new coats were on there way to the Fairgrounds for distribution.

Coats for Kids distribution will be held at the Indiana State Fairgrounds this Saturday from 8 AM until 4 PM.  Everyone is welcome but you children must be present in order to receive a coat.
