Indianapolis– On Thursday November 20, The Salvation Army will kick-off its largest fund raising campaign of the year, the Tree of Lights.  The ceremony will begin at 11:30 a.m. at The Salvation Army’s Headquarters located at 3100 N. Meridian St.

The goal for this year’s campaign is $2.75 million.  The money raised will go towards supporting Salvation Army programs and services throughout Central Indiana.  This year’s Tree Sponsor for the Tree of Lights Campaign will once again be Walmart.

WISH-TV 8’s Eric Halvorson will return as honorary Tree of Lights Chairman and Indianapolis Mayor Greg Ballard will take part in the kick off celebration.  Also participating in the event are the Pacers’ Quinn Buckner, Terri Stacy and Joe Staysniak of the WIBC Morning Show, the St. Richard’s singers, The Salvation Army Brass Ensemble, along with corporate sponsors and other supporters of The Salvation Army.
