Patrons enjoy lunch outdoors to support Homelessness Bites at Apple Fest 2009.

It’s become the annual rite of passage into fall – Apple Fest. We’re hoping you’ll join us on Thursday, October 7 from 10am-3pm on Monument Circle.  This marks our 6th year of bringing this wonderful event downtown and we’ve added a ticket for fun this year…a 24 ft. high Red Kettle Bounce House for the kids!

Speaking of kids…Apple Fest is just one part of The Salvation Army’s Homelessness Bites campaign to end homelessness for the 1,500 kids who spend their nights on Indy’s streets.  For these kids, homelessness bites.   All proceeds from lunch will benefit The Salvation Army’s programs for homeless and abused women and children.

Come enjoy lunch from Applebees, Hot Apple Cobbler and Ice Cream from GFS Marketplace, fresh apples from Adrian Orchards, and Indy’s own Bandwagon is back again with live music for your lunchtime pleasure.

In addition to the opportunity to help with our Homelessness Bites campaign, you’ll have another chance at Doing The Most Good during Apple Fest….bring a new or gently used coat to donate for Bob Gregory’s Coats For Kids and receive a FREE dessert! It’s a win-win for all!
