The Salvation Army kicked-off its annual Red Kettle campaign today with their annual Celebrity Bellringing event on Monument Circle. On air personalities from WISH-TV8 took shifts ringing the bell along with Indianapolis Colts Cheerleaders, Indiana Pacers Pacemates, Miss Indiana – Gabrielle Reed, Truckie of Two Men and a Truck, Big E. Foot of the Indianapolis Ice, and many more.
Another supporter of The Salvation Army, West Coast Tacos, was on site giving away a free taco for every donation made. The guys from West Coast also serve a meal to residents of The Salvation Army’s Women’s and Children’s Shelter once a month.
Celebrity Bellringing is part of The Salvation Army’s Tree of Lights Campaign. This year’s campaign hopes to raise $2.93 million. The money raised will go to support Salvation Army programs for those in need throughout central Indiana.
