Burd FordThe Burd Ford Cash Quest Scavenger Hunt is well on its way!  Day 4 check-ins take place at The Salvation Army Indiana Divisional Headquarters Monday, April 18th on 3100 North Meridian Street, Indianapolis, IN 46208. 

Everyone seems to recognize the red kettle, but not everyone knows where the money they put in the kettle goes…  As a stop on the Burd Ford Cash Quest Scavenger Hunt, The Salvation Army is able to continue telling their story of how they do the most good.  When people like you and organizations like yours contribute to The Salvation Army, we’re able to put your unique contributions to good use by helping people and families with diverse needs.  Thanks to you, children who need homes are given shelter; families which need a financial burden lifted are given support; adults who struggle with addictions are given a chance to overcome them; and people escaping abuse are given protection.  The Salvation Army is a church and a social service organization–all of your gifts are used to serve others.  This means everything we do through you helps bring hope and lasting change to the people we serve.

“Follow” Burd Ford on Twitter @burdford and/or “Friend” Burd Ford on Facebook at www.facebook.com/ford.burd through Friday, April 29, to follow the daily clues.  Although registration is closed, take a second to acknowledge the other participants in the contest.  Burd Ford sends a daily clue via Twitter and Facebook giving the location where participants must “tap in” using their Cash Quest Scavenger Hunt card and instructions for completing a simple task at participating locations. “Tapping in” at participating locations qualifies participants for prizes and special offers from Cash Quest Scavenger Hunt sponsors.  

Participants who complete a minimum of 12 of 16 Cash Quest Scavenger Hunt tasks are eligible for one Grand Prize ($3,000 cash), one 2nd prize (Apple iPad) and one 3rd prize (Apple iPad).  Saturday, April 30, a blind draw of qualifying contestants will be conducted to determine the prize winners.  No purchase is necessary to win.  There will also be opportunities in the in hunt should you be unable to “Tap” at an event to opt in via The Salvation Army and YMCA.  Details will be sent each day via Twitter, Facebook, and Text. Chances to win are 1 in 500.
