Last night, severe weather pummeled the northeast side of Indianapolis, and an apartment complex near 38th Street and Mitthoefer Rd was torn apart. This morning, at nearby John Marshall Middle School, The Salvation Army Emergency Disaster Services is on the scene providing food and hydration for first responders and displaced persons from the area. The mobile food kitchen will be in place indefinitely, as authorities survey the damage to determine whether a tornado or straight line winds are to blame for the destruction.
