4thAnnual Red Kettle Cookout Almost Here

Doesn’t a cookout sound good right now?  How about a cookout with your friends, co-workers, and some celebrity grillers?  Throw in live music and games and you have a party!  Well, we want you to join our party celebrating the programs and services of The Salvation Army.  Please join us for the 4th Annual Salvation Army Red Kettle Cookout kicking off National Salvation Army Week, Wednesday, May 9th in its new location on Monument Circle!

Red Kettle Cookout is an opportunity to see how companies, organizations, volunteers, and staff come together to do the most good.  The event also helps us share what we continue to do with your support 365 days a year, while giving us a chance to invite more people to get involved, and, yes, it gives us a chance to enjoy good music, delicious food, and our wonderful community!  Admission is free and food and drink tickets are available for purchase.  This event takes place rain or shine from 10 am to 2 pm on the southwest quad of Monument Circle.

A big part of making Red Kettle Cookout a success is our sponsors.  We have multiple opportunities for you to help out.  When people like you and organizations like yours contribute to The Salvation Army, we’re able to put your unique contributions to good use by helping people and families with diverse needs.  Thanks to you, children who need homes are given shelter; families which need a financial burden lifted are given support; adults who struggle with addictions are given a chance to overcome them; and people escaping abuse are given protection.  This means everything we do through you helps bring hope and lasting change to the people we serve.  That’s quite a powerful cookout!

So…  Now that you’ve been invited to our Red Kettle Cookout we should probably tell you what we need you to bring.  Here’s the list:  lots of friends, a hungry appetite, a willingness to share what you are doing to make everything we do possible, and, if able, one of the contributions listed here in The Salvation Army Red Kettle Cookout.

If you have any questions on how you can get involved, please, don’t hesitate to contact me!
